De’Vonna Pittman is the founder of Nature’s Syrup Beauty, a brand on a mission to solve the curly hair crisis with potent, plant-based solutions. What started as a kitchen experiment—formulating products by hand to restore trust in hair care products—has grown into a movement embracing culture and redefining beauty standards. De’Vonna is dedicated to restoring the love of the hair that grows out of our heads, in the state it grows—curly, kinky, and everything in between.

A self-starter and former political candidate, she turned a personal passion into a thriving business, earning recognition as the 2024 SBA Woman in Business Champion for her leadership and advocacy. Born and raised in the poorest suburb of America, she defied expectations, earning a master’s degree in Police Leadership before carving her own path as a beauty industry trailblazer.
